From fire-retardant mechanism, stuff selection and practical application, novel environmental friendly fire-retardant epoxy resin system was studied. Firstly, additive fire-retardant system containing nano aluminium hydroxide and organic phosphorus flame-retardant agent was designed. The parameter of curing temperature was calculated through extrapolation of P-T figure, apparent activation energy of curing process was calculated, and the time of total curing was gained by IR, thus it afforded the basis for the curing technology. Secondly, the thermal stability and flame-retardant performance of the system was evaluated by TGA and LOI. The results showed that the thermal stability of the system was good when ATH content was high and P content was low, and the synergetic fire-proofing effect of nano ATH and phosphate improved system's flame-resistant performance .Reactive flame-retardant DOPO was synthesized and element P was brought into molecular structure of epoxy resin by the reaction of epoxy resin and DOPO. Referring to the additive system, dynamic parameter of reactive epoxy resin system containing DOPO/nano ATH was investigated. Thermal stabilities and flame-retardant performance of the system was evaluated primarily by using TGA. At the same time, the performances of two flame-retardant systems were compared and the results demonstrated that decomposition temperature of the reactive system was slightly lower, but its char yield was higher at 700 ℃, which showed that it had good flame-retardant effect primarily.
