When machining, it may make some mistakes no matter which system is adopted to program NC code for CNC machine. It is very difficult for programmers to predict mistakes in NC code as well as the consequence after the code was transferred to the controller. Meanwhile, it is rare for us because CNC machine is expensive, which brings difficulties for operating and training. The NC code created automatically by CAD/CAM system is useful only by manual debugging. The traditional method of debugging is machining the wood or plastics, showing the cutting trajectory , but the former kills the time and material; The display of the latter's movement orbit confines to being two-dimension, so it differs greatly with actual machining situation. It is a key for programmers to improve programming ability whether could develop a set of relevant training system. In this paper we developed a virtual machining environment based on network according to the above situation. This environment is used in operation training for CNC lathe(one aim is to verify of NC code through the three-dimension, another is to familiar with the operating environment for programmers). The training of CNC lathe is not consuming and damaging existing resources, which reduces the training cost greatly.This paper mainly studies and solves the problem as fellows:First, we study the rapid modeling technology which is suitable for the virtual reality environment of training, and the work-piece and machining course after analyses each character of several CAD modeling software.Second, this paper discusses the working character of virtual lathe, and studies the communication through inner internal(JavaScript) and external interface, which can be used to operating, machining and the protecting beyond the mark of CNC lathe(include positive and negative click rotation controlling, installation and turning of work piece)Third, this paper studies the grammar, morphology and meaning of NC code, in the same time, we realized the examination and translation of NC code, so that the wrong information can be showed on user's interface, we also study how NC file is read and saved.In addition, this paper also designs the training guide module through studying the demand for the man-machine interface and the analysis of customer's demand, then utilizing the hyperlinking of the webpage. We realize the interface interaction between user interface of operating and VRML . The CNC lather virtual training system based on VRML of this paper can be used in preliminary teaching and training.
