Properties Of Weft Knitted Fabric Composite Stab Stab

Recently, with the globalization of antiterrorism and increase of the safety sense, especially after the event of "9.11", personal protection has become a very important thing around the world, resulting in the rapid development of body armors. In many countries the use of gun is prohibited very strictly, but the threat from knives still exists very largely. Therefore, as one of the important personal protective material, stab-resistant fabrics are receiving more and more attention.Nowadays there are many studies about the exploitation of stab-resistant product, but most of them are single structure material, and there is little analysis about stab-resistant mechanism. In fact, there is different stab-resistant behavior and stab-resistant mechanism for the different fabric structure, and a lot of researches show that weft knitted fabric bears excellent impact energy absorption properties. Based on the review of the present literature, this thesis put forword to the idea of the weft knitted composite stab-resistant fabrics. Taking traditional weft knitted fabric made of high performance fibers (such as aramid, UHMWPE) and Multilayered Biaxial Weft Knitted fabric as main energy absorption material, combined with non-woven fabric, plain woven fabric and other kinds of fabrics, a stab-resistant composite structure is produced which takes full advantage of each material. Furthermore this paper also studied the stab-resistant performance and stab-resistant mechanism of each kind of fabric in detail.The tester for fabric stab-resistant performance testing in this paper is self-designed and manufactured, which is called "Roller-recording fabric stab-resistant performance tester". The stab-resistant properties of all kinds of fabrics can be rested through this tester. The most important, the complete curves of the relationship about blade velocity, impact force, puncturing dynamic energy versus time and displacement can be given directly.The project belongs to the scope of the international hot study, which lays a foundation for research of personal body armors.
