With the development of the life of people , the quantitative requests of the most comfortable cotton fabrics are more and more larger. It is important to take the flame-retardant finishing to the cotton fabrics because of the case that the fabrics flame quantities is 40-50% of the total flame quantities in the world . At present the more important flame-retardants are Pyrovatex CP and CFR — 201.Though the finished fabrics have good flame-retarded properties , the content of free formaldehyde on the cotton is much .How to reduce the content of free formaldehyde and make it more environmental is the most important problem for the textile finishing workers .The goal of this topic is to solve the problem. Obeying the environmental request, we optimize the finishing process. First, we make use of the former product as the flame-retardant and synthesize a self-cross linking flame-retardant agent . We also optimize the experiment crafts and make sure of the best reactive conditions. On the basis of the lab experiment, we have done the medium-scale experiment. Then we study the application of the medium-scale product on the cotton fabrics and debate the influence of the various factors to the properties of the finished fabrics. Considering all the factors ,we discuss the suitable recipe and conditions .We then find that the medium-scale products have the same effect of the lab products and can meet the request of the cotton flame retarding properties :the tear-strength reservation is about 80%,the wrinkle restoration angle is more than 244~0,the carbon length is about 6cm,the whiteness reduces 8.5% to the unfinished fabrics and the softness is good .Especially the content of the free formaldehyde is reduced comparing with the other flame retardants, such as CFR-201.The content of free formaldehyde is 186ppm before...
