An injection molding machine system is a multivariable, scatter, non-linear, strong-coupling and time-lag one. There are many problems that are difficult to describe with a mathematical model. In order to obtain products with high qualities and less limitation, the plastics manufacturing process must be strictly controlled. Besides temperature, pressure, speed of screw rotation and injection velocity, there are many other factors that influenced on products qualities. Thus, an accurate mathematical model is difficultl to establish with traditional PID control technique. According to people's demands of high qualities plastics products and the characteristic of injection molding machines control, fuzzy control technique based on Matlab has been introduced in injection molding machines process in the article. The time of design and exploitation of control system has been shorten by simulink module. So, simultaneous control of temperature, pressure, speed of screw rotation and injection velocity in injection forming process can be achieved. When the parameters change, control equipments can export some power immediately. The article has studied the design of fuzzy control module and the exploitation of software and hardware. With fuzzy control technique, the system robustness can be improved and the influence of ambiquity can be restrained in injection molding machines system. Also, with the use of fuzzy control technique, both electricity energy and the cost of companies are greatly reduced.Application of fuzzy control technique based on Matlab in injection molding machines control process is expounded in the article. Several phases as follows are included: analyse of injection molding machines control technique, designs of fuzzy control module used Matlab, simulating with Simulink module, software andhardware design of control system.First, considering the control characteristic of today's injection molding machines and the importance of injection technique parameters, the article combines fuzzy control technique with injection molding machines. Parameters of temperature, pressure, speed of screw rotation and injection velocity are strictly controlled. Plastics products with high qualities can be produced with less energy waste.Second, a fuzzy control module is designed with "Fuzzy Logic" tools box ofMatlab, including input fuzzy variables, fuzzy implication, fuzzy aggregation, colligating results of different rules and denazification.Third, a computer emulational model is established with "Simulink" tools box and the fuzzy control module is analysed.With VC++, a software is empoldered for the designed fuzzy control system. Also, in order to validate the control system, a product's manufacturing process is simulated. The result of the parameters data is sent to the software control system and all the control is good.At last, the hardware is designed, including choosing sensors and A/D(D/A) converter, communicating technique between SCM and PC. Thus, the control system can be used in the production.
