Shaoguan Smelter Spare Parts Storage Law And Spare Parts Information System Design

The paper covers the discussion of the developing and application of the EAM system in the spare parts management at Shao Guan Smelter. Based on the experiences of spare parts management for many years, the EAM system has been developed by combining computer network technology and advanced software platform. The exactitude and safety has been improved by using the EAM system.The paper introduces the functions of the EAM system and describes the realization course of the EAM system .The EAM system composed of five subsystems: initialization and maintenance of the system, plan management for spare parts, spare parts contract management, management of taking-out of spare parts and statistics, Warehouse management. The paper studies the characteristics of Developer /2000 and the special functions realized with these characteristics, such as auto alarming of spare parts plan, auto creation of spare parts contracts, the trace and analysis of reputation of the manufacturers of spare parts. The paper also describes the solutions of the problems occurred during the developing of the EAM system.
