In recent years, as the global climate warming, the world has paid more attention to the emissions of greenhouse gases. At present, research on greenhouse gases is in full swing in urban and agricultural production at home and abroad, all industries are calling for environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction. Large generation reservoir has a lot of comprehensive benefits. However, it produced greenhouse gases inevitably, gradually causing the attention of many scholars. In China the research on greenhouse gas for large reservoir has just started, scientific and systematic research needs the support of a large amount of data, so how to store and manage data reasonably and effectively become the important basis in the process of research.The Three Gorges Reservoir is the largest hydro-junction in our country, this article briefly described the research background of its greenhouse gases emissions. The auther mainly considered the spatial data of reservoir remote sensing image, the distribution map of observation section, digital elevation model and otherwise, and the attribute data of greenhouse gases flux by fixed point observation, analyzed data structure of the greenhouse gases comprehensively. The author designed and established the Three Gorges Reservoir greenhouse gas spatial database, combined with the ArcSDE space database engine and Oracle relational database technology, to ensure the reasonable storage of the huge amounts of spatial data and attribute data in the study. And on the base of the database, the author analyzed the demand, and designed the function module of the system. Using C# developing language and the ArcEngine component GIS technology, author realized the spatial database management system platform to manage data efficiently.In finally, the article showed the practical application of the three gorges reservoir greenhouse gases spatial data management system. It organized spatial data and non-spatial data properly. On one hand it can provide users with visual information management platform, the other hand it can guarantee and optimize the data use by the project units simultaneously.
