With improvement of composite material technology, a great many key components have been replaced by composite components in aeronautic and spaceflight field. But some composite components still are made manually because of their especial winding technics which result in unreliable quality. So it is significant to develop automatic equipment fitting in these components.A new scheme to meet the demand of winding method aimming to product' s column segment is brought up in this article. The special winding machine, which is designed in this article, use the winding method aiming to product' s taper segment applied to XHG-6 winding machine.The stability of the tension is one of the key factor ensuring quality of composite materials. A controlling scheme of winding tension, which choosed an industrial computer as main controller and a direct current torque motor as the tension actuator to meet the demand of product' s column winding tension, is brought up in article. Based on the study of torque motor, the mathematical model of tension control system is established in article. Considering the special winding method and the bad working condition of winding machine and three control parameters always unsatisfing control request in PID control system, fuzzy self-adaptive PID is applied to tension control system. By MATLAB simulating, it shows that self-adaptive PID is an effective way in winding machine tension control system.The key technologies of physical parameter control software have been researched which include digital filter, fuzzy self-adaptive PID control algorithm and ability of anti-jamming and so on. Tension control experiment has been completed, the result of which shows that fuzzy self-adaptive PID has improved the control performance in the course of tension control , and the tension system can meet the customer' s acquirement.
