In recently, the polypropylene spunbond nonwovens are a sort of polymer direct laid nonwovens developed rather rapidness in the world. In particularly, it's application is more and more in disposable multifunction polypropylene spunbond nonwovens in surgery hygiene in hospitals in our country.In the capital, the antistatic finishing of polypropylene spunbond nonwovens by alkyl phosphate ester, chitosan, cationic surfactants and the two later complex antistatic agents are studied. The effects of concentration on the antistatic finishing and the properties of fabric were investigated. The structure and properties of the fabric were studied by means of IR spectrum and TG It was found:1.When these antistatic agents are used, it is simple that they are combined with the polypropylene spunbond nonwovens, and there is chemicals change.2. Alkyl phosphate ester is not adapted because it affects the strength and hands of the polypropylene spunbond nonwovens. But when the one of chitosan or cationic surfactants is used, they don't settle for the require of the antistatic and the properties of fabrics. The complex antistatic agents with lower concentration exhibited good antistatic capability for antistatic finishing of the polypropylene spunbond nonwovens. The antistatic finishing with complex antistatic agents almost no influence on the properties of fabrics.3. The finishing of the process condition are studied. The results showed the spraying can't spray even the antistatic on the surface and the antistatic properties don't increase. When the dipping is used, the process condition of the good antistatic properties of the polypropylene spunbond nonwovens is the 0.25~0.5% of the concentration, 1~2 minute of dipping, 50—60℃ of drying.4. The results of the properties of the antistatic polypropylene spunbond nonwovens showed when the fabrics are not finished, the intial static voltage of the fabric is 257V, after 60 second, its is 267V, there are no change. But when the fabrics are finished with the complex antistatic agents, the initial static voltage of the fabric is 41V, the half life is 1.1 second. The results of the properties of the fabric showed: the broken strength and elongation in length and breadth is only small decrease, the breathable is no change, the drapeable is better.
