Indonesia Coal Characteristics And Its Application In Plant Research

Along with the rapid progress of power industry in China, The problem of in short of coal supply cannot be solved very soon. Therefore, it is necessary to import a certain amount of coal to meet this requirement, which will also limit the rapid price of coal in China. In the past tem years, Indonesia coal industry has grown up to be the second largest coal export country in the world.At the international market in Asia, Indonesia coal is the most economical coal for the power plants of China. And this country has ability to export a large amount of coal to China.Fluctuating coal price on pool purchasing price was discussed. The results show that the price fluctuating affects to the benefic of old units more than it does to the new units.The characteristics of Indonesia coal are high calorific value, high volatile content, low sulfur content and low ash content, good igniting characteristic, but also a tendency of explosion and self-ignition. Indonesia blended coal fits the Chinese power plant boiler more than pure Indonesia coal does. Experiments have been made to research the self-ignition tendency of Indonesia and Chinese coal.Investigation in the power plant shows that the appropriate blended Indonesia coal has a better economy characteristic for the Chinese power plant boiler. About the security of the units, Indonesia coal has a lighter tendency of slag. The temperature and the igniting characteristic are in the normal states. However, the strong tendency of self-ignition and explosive has a dangerous effect to the security of milling system. If the problem can be solved, Indonesia coal will be widely used in China.
