The variable frequency velocity control technique is one of the most popular, most extensive, most energy-saving techniques in the world at present. To hydraulic apparatus in the taphole area of blast furnace, because power losses are very large, How to acquire the advantage of variable frequency velocity control technique is an extremely important subject. This paper has studied variable frequency transformation of hydraulic apparatus in the taphole area of blast furnace, and has analyzed its performance.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1) Regard hydraulic apparatus in the taphole area of blast furnace as the research object, the paper carries on main analysis to the hydraulic mud gun in the hydraulic apparatus in the taphole area of blast furnace, put forward the schemes of transforming of hydraulic transmission and control system of hydraulic mud gun, and finishes the transformation of hydraulic system and electric control system of hydraulic mud gun.(2)The paper designs the PLC control system of the transducer drive mud gun, including circuit diagram and control procedure, and then finishes function enactment of the transducer.(3)The main phase power consumption of velocity control system of the transducer drive hydraulic mud gun and the original hydraulic mud gun are compared and analyzed. The analysis result indicates that the velocity control system of transducer drive hydraulic mud gun has prominent energy-saving effect.(4)The paper infers the press mud phase mathematical model of transducer drive hydraulic mud gun system. Then this open loop transfer function model is simulated. The simulation results show transducer drive hydraulic mud gun system is a stable system and response performance is good, but the stable value of the speed is smaller than the required speed of cylinder.(5)The speed control circuit performance of transducer drive hydraulic mud gun system is analyzed. Then the theoretically analysis of cylinder speed losses of open loop transducer drive hydraulic mud gun system is researched, theory analysis provides cylinder speed losses formula and compensation formula. At last, speed close loop control is discussed.
