Facing the increasingly drastic tyre market competition, it is vital for enterpriseto energetically improve the production effiency and the automatic degree of the tyrebuilding machine.In the project we choose ControlLogix system which mainly introducedcommended by Americian Rockwell company to develop the control system of thetyre building machine. The paper introduces PID controller based on neural networkinto the automatic Control System of the Tyre Building Machine and introduce thewhole process of the system development including hardware and software designs.The hardware is consisted of Logix5550 controller, DeviceNet network used bydistributed I/O and SERCOS Optical fiber network which is used to servo motioncontrol. In the software design we utilized the Boolean calculation and dataprocessing ability of the Rslogix 5000, compile the control program throughinput/output module, A/D module, D/A module. In the control system design, weadopted AC servo drive technique, field bus technique and so on.Finally the control system achieved the setting of more than 50 key technicalparameter such as joint angle, orientation speed, location. All the tyre technicaldemands, technical parameters can be send to the building machine. At the same timethe datas and equipment state produced in manufacturing process also can be referedto management. Consequently the system achieved real time monitor, control andmanage. After the debugging in the field, the output in one class has reached to 100.The control system shortened the product period obviously, reduced the productioncosts and reduced the labor intensity.
