Preparation processes of the poly (dimethyldiallylammonium chloride-acrylamide) with cationicity of 50% were studied in this paper. Using industrial cationic monomer AZ-6 solution as the raw material monomer, adopting two kinds of initiators respectively and employing Na4EDTA as the aidant reagent, polymerization process of PDA with cationicity of 50% was investigated. Through a series of preliminary experiments and orthonormal experiments, the two adaptable technologies were researched respectively. The intrinsic viscosities of PDA with cationicity of 50% reached 5.15 and 5.38dL·g-1, and the percents of the residual double bond were 13.0% and 12.3%, respectively. The technology matched the monomer used.
