Because of the high maintenance cost and complexity of dispose, traditional environment surveillance systems are restricted in several crucial applications with bad circumstance. In order to surveil the tempreture of high-voltage bus in electric systems, a new implementation of surveillance system based on WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) is proposed in this thesis. The system has four-layer architecture: the sensor nodes, the sink node, the server and the client. Sensor nodes are placed in the surveillance area casually and they construct a self-organized network automatically. Sensor nodes send the collection data to the sink node via multi-hop routing, which is determined by a specific routing protocol. Then sink node reveives data and sends it to the remoted data center, such as a database server. Ultimately, any client in the Internet can link to the server and review the data. This thesis is divided into six parts. Chapter 1 introduces the history of wireless sensor networks briefly. Chapter 2 introduces the solution according to our system needs, and decides the key technologies, including system architecture, operating system and software protocols. Chapter 3 implements a platform, and introduces the design of each module. Chapter 4 first introduces nesC language briefly; then analyzes the schedule mechanism and communication module of TinyOS; finally, TinyOS is transplanted to our platform. Chapter 5 details the software implementation on sensor nodes, including drive software of devices, data collection, wireless communication and remote control. Chapter 6 presents some suggestions for further development.
