In recent years, the color fastness to light of textiles has become an important qualitative standard in domestic and foreign merchants. I get the information from authoritative department that a lot of trade disputes result from the low color fastness to light of textiles. The color of turquoise blue is vivid and inimitable, and can color match multifarious vivid colors with other dyes, the character of which can't be displaced by other dyes, but the color fastness to light of nylon fabric dyed with turquoise blue is very low which directly affect its comprehensive use. Dyeing and finishing companies of Wuxi and Suzhou regions have been looking forward to solving this problem which has troubled them for a long time.It is said that the reason of the low color fastness to light of fabric is ultraviolet, but in the fact, only when dyes itselves have strong absorption in ultraviolet area, ultraviolet has something with the color fastness to light directly. This article confirms that ultraviolet was mostly directly reason of the low color fastness to light of nylon fabric dyed with Telon turquoise blue M-5G, by using ultraviolet filter disk experiment and studying spectrum curve of Telon turquoise blue. Owing to compact structure and bad absorbency of nylon fabric, so it couldn't impregnate with inorganic ultraviolet screener, but impregnate with organic ultraviolet absorber. The results indicated that ultraviolet absorber UVX was filtrated to deep research, by comparing their absorption area of spectrum curves and absorption intensity of ultraviolet absorbers UVX,Rayson C,HTUV150 and ZWY-001. And the optimum process of Telon turquoise blue M-5G and UVX one-bath treating was confirmed by systemic experiment: the pH value was 4, the bath ratio 1:20, the rate 1.0℃/min, the temperature 100℃and the treating time 30min, the maximal dosage of UVX should less than dye's; at the same time, one-bath treating of Telon turquoise blue and UVX didn't affect the colored light, which could improve the color fastness to light of nylon fabric 0.5-1 grade, and had good washing resistance. The new process of nylon fabric dyed with direct turquoise blue GL was also studied. The optimum process was confirmed by one-factor experiment and orthogonal experiment: NaCl dosage was 10g/L, the pH value 4, the bath ratio 1:25 and dyeing temperature 95℃.The color fastness to light could reach 3 grade above. At last, nylon fabric dyed with turquoise blue which was color matched by Telon Yellow A3GL and Telon Blue A3GL which had high color fastness to light. The optimum process was confirmed by one-factor experiment and orthogonal experiment: the pH value was 3,the bath ratio 1:30,the rate 2.0℃/min and dyeing temperature 90℃.The result indicated that Telon Yellow A3GL and Telon Blue A3GL had excellent compatibility, by studying their exhaustion curves, the color fastness to light, the color fastness to washing and the color fastness to rubbing. The optimal ratio of color matching was 1:40. The color fastness to light of turquoise blue by color matching could reach 4 grade above when dye's dosage was only 0.5%(owf), which was much higher than Telon turquoise blue M-5G's, meanwhile they had the similar color fastness to washing and rubbing. In short, three approaches of ultraviolet absorber UVX one-bath treating with Telon turquoise blue, using direct turquoise blue GL with optimization process to dye nylon fabric and turquoise blue of color matching by Telon Yellow A3GL and Telon Blue A3GL were discussed in this article, anyone of which had excellent effect of improving the color fastness to light of nylon dyed with turquoise blue, and fulfilled the demand of market and provided an important reference value for application.
