Ethical Consideration Of Environmental Justice

Environmental justice is the forefront to be focused on environmental ethics nowadays, it means the fairness of the rights and obligations that all groups, regions, people and nations should have in dealing with environmental issues. This paper refers to the current environmental justice issues, and reveals the actual status of environmental justice in China on the two sides of intra-generation and inter-generation. It also puts forward constructive countermeasures to achieve environmental justice on this basis, so that the theory research on environmental justice will be further deep and systematic, and hopes to deepen people's understanding of environmental justice, improve the environmental injustice vigilance, and offer reference for establishing a fair, just and harmonious socialistic society.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part, the main point is to outline the emergence, development and value reason of environmental justice. The second part mostly classifies the existing environmental justice issues in China. This part reveals the lack of environmental justice in urban and rural areas, different regions, different classes, and the environmental inequality between the developing countries and developed countries, as well as discusses the environmental justice issues between contemporary and future generations from the two sides of intra-generation and inter-generation.The third part, it puts forward constructive countermeasures to achieve environmental justice according the foundation on this research in China. Conceptually, to foster the people's concept of the continuable development and moderate consumption, to strengthen the moral education of environment, and so on;mechanically, to strengthen the effect of sanction through legislation and institutional establishment, to indemnify people's rights and interests of the environment through the establishment of special funds;socially, sufficiently to exert the effect of non-government environmental protection organization, and to make sure the environmental responsibility of corporation, and to take effective measures to promote public participation in the community, and to take full advantage of the strength from community to promote environmental justice realization.
