HFC 134 has lower GWP value and a good inert effect on the flammable gas. The physical properties of HFC134 can meet the basic requirements of refrigerant, so it is selected as a basic raw material for new generation of refrigerant Freon substitute. In this paper, we want to provide HFC134 primary products for obtaining High-Purity HFC134. By analyzing physical properties such as composition,content and boiling point of each component, we can do the System Research or Design on purification methods, equipments and conditions of purifying. The results showed that the use of low-temperature pressurized batch distillation method could purify HFC134 primary products effectively and obtained high-purity HFC134. Suitable distillation apparatus conditions were as follows: purification main equipment was packed tower; padding was 6 ring; appropriate tower diameter was 0.032 m; padding height was 19.038 m; height of packed tower was 20.038 m and theoretic column plate number was 16.63. In the distillation column the pressure difference is 13~16 kPa, and the top and bottom temperature is 20°C and 42°C, respectively. The minimum reflux ratio for the packed tower is 5.38. Under these conditions mass fraction of more than 99.5% HFC134 will be obtained after 40 h's time. It was found that the percentage of the top distillation was constantly changing with the time. Light components were drived-off first from overhead distillate, the heavier components of the reactor remained in tower bottom. The study also found that the top temperature had a greater impact on the overhead distillate, the lower the top temperature, the higher percentage of R22 and TFE in the overhead distillate. The top temperature and reactor temperature are changing as the top component of the distillate, top of the temperature changes even more, the tower reactor temperature changes relatively slowly. With the batch distillation, the general trend is the top temperature is close to the column reactor temperature gradually. The reflux ratio can greatly influence the purity and rectification efficiency, the greater reflux ratio the easier access to high-purity HFC134, but at the same time it will take longer time to distillate.
