Research Laboratory Dangerous Chemicals Index System

Laboratory is not only an important base of scientific and technological personnel training, but also a birthplace of new process, new technology and new products. But now in the domestic chemical laboratory there are some potential safety problems, in particular the risk of hazardous chemicals management. So chemical accidents take place continually, and hazard the staff and environment. Therefore people pay more attention to the management of hazardous chemicals in laboratory. However, China has no specialized safety evaluation system for chemical risk management in laboratories at present. In accordance with the lack of active safety valuation index of hazardous chemicals, this paper studies safety valuation index of hazardous chemicals, which is significatory.This paper introduces the concept and classification of related chemicals, and recommends simply survey study about safety valuation of the hazardous chemicals management in the world. It put forward the existing problems of the safety management in Chinese chemical laboratory. This paper clarifies the principle and procedure for building the evaluation index system. After identifying the index weight of the hazardous chemicals management, a safety valuation index system of hazardous chemicals is built. To make use of the evaluation index system, this paper tests the safety valuation index system at a laboratory of Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute, and puts forward improvement measures.This system not only considered the use for hazardous chemicals in laboratory, also their material properties, operating environment, the quality of personnel and security systems; and it is a systematic quantitative and qualitative assessment of the safety management system. This study can be used to the safety management evaluation of our laboratory hazardous chemicals. It will help the relevant personnel to assess of laboratory hazardous chemicals in the correct way, increase the security consciousness, protect health and environment, and avoid the accident. At the same time it can offer the decision-making of the hazardous chemicals safety management in laboratory.
