Achievements And Problems Of Sino-us Environmental Diplomacy

This paper systematically studies the Sino-US environmental diplomacy.The first is the Sino-US diplomatic environmental achievements, which are realizing environmental cooperation mechanisms; high-level visits on environmental issues actively; the Sino-US civil cooperation; using multilateral and regional environmental cooperation opportunities to strengthen Sino-US cooperation; struggles and cooperation within the framework of the United Nations.The second is the characteristics of Sino-US environmental diplomacy. The environmental diplomacy changes with the political factors; the environmental cooperation carried out by multinational corporations is active; there are strong economic interests between Sino-US environmental diplomacy.The third is the problems and solutions. "China environmental threat theory" still exists; the environmental standards of the two countries are different; Sino-US environmental cooperation is still inadequate; and the Sino-US environment diplomacy is still in injustice.The last is the theoretical thinking on the Sino-US diplomatic environmental cooperation from the interest factors, from the environmental security, and from the world system of interdependence theory, which proves the necessity and the inevitability of Sino-US diplomatic environmental cooperation.
