With the magic development of information technology including semiconductor technology, sensor technology, embedded technology and communication technology, the application of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) which can apperceive, calculate, store and communicate has been applied in wider and wider fields. Wireless Sensor Nodes which are used to monitor some specific objects can work together to form a self-organizing network for the sake of apperceiving, sampling and uploading the environmental data. Then the monitoring user can process the sensor data in order to accomplish the assignment of environmental monitoring. The research of wireless sensor network has gradually become the focus in the industrial and academic domains. Its potential application value in the environmental surveillance field makes it much more notable.The paper is based on the hardware circuit and software designs of data retransfer for environmental monitoring system in Wireless Sensor Network. The main intention of the design is to establish the remote communication link between monitoring user and sensor notes. This design is aimed at low consumption and high reliability in data processing. The design of data retransfer for environmental monitoring system in Wireless Sensor Network is based on CC2430 (RF transceiver) and PC104 (EC5-1712). With peripheral DC-ATX power-supply module, wireless communication modules and effect of the software design, the environmental monitoring system in wireless sensor networks can implement the function of low power consumption, power supply self-sufficiency and stability.The field exercise carried out in Zhangye in Gansu province indicates that this system is prominent in the feature of its real time capability, high data credibility, low consumption, remote control and so on. This system ultimately meets the required guide line and it will be universally used in wider scopes.
