Prototype Testing Of The Knit Dress In Costume Design Applied Research

It becomes a current trend to developing knitted wear in the apparel field all over the world. But the knitted garments industry of our country is still in preliminary stage. The traditional method to make pattern can't meet the development of character fashion knitted wear. Therefore it is necessary to enrich the traditional method. Skirt is ordinary to women. But the research about knitted skirt prototype is unusual. This research is based on these conditions. At first , doing the experiments of draping cutting, divide the knitted skirt prototype between loose type and body-fitting type .We conclude that the loose knitted skirt prototype is same with the woven. But the body-fitting is different of the woven. The second, based on the human body of our country, choose some kinds waist to correct model form. We can analysis the characters and rules of the dart when the waist changes. The third, design knitted skirt prototype by referencing the rules of woven skirt basic patterns. Then, use t knitted skirt prototype to draw many kinds of skirt's patterns to chest it's usage. The last, analysis the characters of the pattern drafting and the traditional algorithm pattern by comparing them with some styles.
