In order to control and improve the copy quality of printings,Some Test Bars have been invented since 1950's.These could be used to detect and control the situations of original information transfer when plate copying proofing and printing.Also,these could be used to reach the goal of detecting printing quality.But,with the development of printing technology, Test Bars couldn't meet the needs of printing development,so Test Form appeared.The function of Test Form is more comprehensive than Test Bar,and it made the quality of detecting more accuracy.GATF Digital Sheetfed Test Form was received extensive praise in the numerous Test Forms.The main content of this research project was that,with the help of elements of GATF Digital Sheetfed Test Form,we could detect and control the printing quality.By means of subjective and objective evaluation Targets such as solid density dot gain printing contrast ink trapping and grey balance,comprehensive evaluation could be made to reflect the printing effects.Through the evaluation results,compensations and adjustments on printing parametric in total printing flow were made to improve the printing quality and attain the goal of Industrial Application.This research project was based on experiments and true data,some mathematical methods were used to analyze and evaluate the experimental results.This Research Project has good value of guidance and application for graphic arts enterprises to apply GATF Digital Sheetfed Test Form,Through taking advantage of powerful function of GATF Digital Sheetfed Test Form,we can improve the printing quality and take higher economic efficiency.Also,this research Project has significant referential meaning for enterprises to apply other Test Form such as Gracol 7.
