A series of lanthanide(III) complexes of 1,1'-bis(acetoacetyl)ferrocene, namely, {[Ln2(Fe(η5-COCH2COCH3)2)3](H2O)4}n [Ln = La (1), Ce (2), Pr (3), Nd (4), Sm (5), Eu (6), Gd (7), Tb (8), Dy (9), Er (10), Yb (11) and Lu (12)], were obtained by treating 1,1'-bis(acetoacetyl)ferrocene with Ln(NO3)3·6H2O in this paper. And these complexes were characterized by IR, UV, TG-DTA, elemental analysis, electrochemical and fluorescent spectra. On the basis of structures were reported, each Ln(III) ion is probably coordinated by eight oxygen from six terminal monodentateβ-diketone units and tow terminal monodentate coordinated H2O molecules. The electrochemical properties of complexes 1-12 have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in dichloroethanes solution of tetra-n-butylammonium hexafluorophosphate. And the fluorescent spectra of complexes 5-9 using solid and liquid samples show that they all exhibit a broad emission which can be attributed to the ligand charge transfer. |
