Edger-width-modulated Control Of Planar Shape Of Plate

"Tongue"will be formed in the front and end of the plate influenced by some unfavorable factors such as friction in the contact-surface and non-uniform flow of the metal, during the rolling of the medium plate.It can reduce the rate of the finished products. In this paper, we do the research by the edging rolling, simulate the depress rules at different specifications in rolling using plastic pug and Pb, and then analyzc the experimental data by orthogonal regression method and conclude the mathematic mold of interdependence of process parameters and length of"tongue", expound the change-law of plate's shape in the medium plate's rolling. The result shows that: edging rolling method can eliminate the effects of these bad factors and achieve the rectangular plate during the rolling.There main factors (reduction of horizontal roll and vertical roll, breadth of blank) that influencing the shape of the plate are studied by orthogonal test. Contrasting the regression model and measured value of simulation experiment, we can find that: error of whole cross-rolling method no more than 10% and the comprehensive rolling method no more than 15%. It indicates that mathematic model has a high accuracy. Combining the regression model and the actual production,it can reduce the amount of the remotion, and increase the rate of the finished products, as well as provide the prediction for actual production.Contrasting the data of plastic pug and Pb, it shows that both the law of the change are consistent in the rolling. The experiment data using plastic pug is scientific and reliability,can reflect the law of the change more accurately.Furthermore, contrasting the edging rolling and other rolling methods in horizontal roll, the edging rolling method has the significant advantages such as easier to use and control, and has no effect on the rolling mill's efficiency, so it has the great advantages in actual production.
