In this thesis, it was studied of the analysis method how to make sure of residual monomers in copolymer PDA(poly-DMDAAC-AM), it could quantitative analysis that residual acrylamide(AM) above 0.025% and the all residual monomers less than 1%.On the basis of the previous work, using class method, acrylamide(AM) and dimethyldialyammounium(DMDAAC) in the polymer of PDA was distilled. The content of AM and DMDAAC in PDA(as dry powder) were checked by UV-bromating and AgNO3 titration-bromating method. The results showed that the estraction rate was about 80% of the class method which distilled the PDA with 5% cationicity. The residual content of AM is 0.83%-0.87% and DMDAAC is 2.67%-2.77% when analysed by UV-bromating. The residual content of AM is 0.89%-0.99% and DMDAAC is 2.53%-2.69% when analysed by AgNO3 titration-bromating. Also the same method was used to analyse the PDA with 6%,9.5% and 17% cationicity.During the studies of this report, the estraction rate was about 80% of the class method, the solution could deputy the information of residual monomers in copolymer PDA. In this studies, the relative error of AM is 0.0001% by UV, the relative error of DMDAAC is 0.01% by AgNO3 titration.Meet the expected target.
