The thesis was a basic application project of Shen Yang city'Science Technology Plan, whose name was "The new technology of improving the dynamical stiffness of CNC Machine Tools and inhibiting the chatter of CNC machine Tools".At present, Production and consumption of NC(numerical control) machine tools had been living in the forefront of the world in our country, but most homemade NC machine tools are low-end, and more than 70 percent consumption of high-grade NC machine tools relys on imports in China. Precision and efficiency are the main gaps between China-made machine tools and advanced international ones. Machine tools'vibration is the primary cause which leads to low precision, so increasing rigidity of machine tools is the basic way to decrease machine tools' vibration. NC machine tools'dynamic stiffness is variable when they locate in different position. To change machine tools'damping can change their dynamic stiffness and vibration resistance accordingly. Damping and rigidity of NC machine tools' joint could be controlled with controlled damper. The method can forecast and suppress NC machine tools'vibration and increase its precision. Main works in this paper:(1) NC milling machine model(xk2120) had been created in SolidWorks and led in ADAMS;(2) Color, quality, constraints and dirvers had been added to the model in ADAMS;(3) The machine model had been divided into 12 parts based on dynamic structure, and the dynamic parameters of joints were determined and every part had been connected with dampers. Equivalent machine tool's dynamic modeling was created;(4) Machine vibration test had been done with ADAMS/Vibration module. Amplitude-frequency characteristic between spindle and work bench and mode eigenvalue and system modal had been gained in the test; (5) Result showed that range of magnitude of the damper value was determined in the joints.Analysis showed the low precision and the unsteadiness in the processing. More works in theorectical study and accumulated data are essential for determining the range of damping for xk2120 machine tool.
