This paper is based on the research on the control system improving of the machine, and introduces in details the circumstance in improving the electrical control system of the milling planer XA2130×100-4. In view of the questions which were found before the milling planer being transformed, this article puts forward the overall numerical control transform project by means of using programmable logic controller and numerical alternate current servo drive system.This article is concentrated on finding the workprinciple and function request of the original control system via the analysis the model structure of the milling planer. On the basis of the electrical control principle diagram being re-designed, it programs the PLC program of the control system including the function of self-diagnosis and alarm of the breakdown in motion according to the design of model thinking.It is an economical and quick method to transform the milling planer using the system of PLC and numerical alternate current servo drive. After transformation, the control system is more advanced and reliable of the milling planer, it will greatly improve the function of technology and use of the milling planer and also get satisfying economic performance.
