Children living space is an important place for children to live and learn. A reasonable living space is conducive to children's healthy physical and mental growth. During childrens' growth period, their housing needs are usually diverse and variational. Adaptability design is aiming to meet the diversity and variability of the residents'needs. According to the survey,currently there are many problems existing in the children living space, particularly in the adaptability design,for example, safety is not fit for childrens' standards; furnishings is only to meet the current needs of the children; color design is too bright and complex etc. These designs can not meet the housing needs of children or do not take into account the diversity and variability of the childrens' housing needs,which is not conducive to children's healthy physical and mental growth. Therefore, researching the environment of children living space from the perspective of adaptability design have important guiding significance and reference value for creating reasonable and healthy children living space.Paper using literature search method, field survey method, chart analysis method and interdisciplinary approach method etc.,involving the interior design, psychology and other related knowledge, systematicly analyze the adaptability design of children living space's indoor environment.
