Governor is one of core components in a variable pitch propeller aircraft. It is by changing the pitch oil pressure and direction to control the propeller blade pitch, ultimately achieve the aim of maintaining and changing the engine speed. PA44-180, TB200, TB20 and LE-500 aircrafts in CAFUC are equipped with this type of governors. All of these days, governors are sent to foreign manufactures for overhaul or repair, which costs a lot and takes long resulting in college flight training delayed. Independent research on aircraft governor overhaul techniques is of great importance to satisfy college flight training requirements, provide maintenance service to civil general aviation companies and save repair time and costs.Concerning all above, U-3-15 and U-3-15L governors of PA44-180 aircraft are mainly investigated in this thesis. Basing on deep analysis on operational principles and repair materials, innovation and exploration research on governor overhaul and test techniques are carried out, the main contents are as follows:1. Governor repair theories research. Failure modes and reasons are investigated by analyzing governor construction and operational principles. And it introduced some knowledge of valve sealing, grinding, and ultrasonic cleaning provide substantial theoretical basis for governor repair.2. Governor repair techniques research. Drawing governor repair progress diagram, Techniques of governor cleaning, disassembling, check, repair, assembling are researched deeply. Check and repair methods are determined. Work fixtures are also designed to disassemble, check and assemble governor parts. By studying on operational principles of governor, propeller test stand and governors test program are made up. Repaired governors need test on the test stand and test-fly in mid air. 3. Repair information management system design and development. To ensure repair quality and acquire higher efficiency, it's necessary to gather and manage governor repair information. Thus governor repair information management system are researched and developed.3.1 Based on the software program approach, from beginning of process analysis, we analyze the repairing program of governor carefully, then put forward functional requirements design.3.2 Designing the environment of software and hardware, based on the analysis of each entity picture and their interrelationship, then we construct the E-R(relationship and entity picture) of system.3.3 While via the PowerDesigner tool to establish database conceptual data model and database physic data model ,which meets design's demand ,generate related MS SQL SERVER database table.3.4 Taking advantage of developing technology which is based on the .NET platform, we have realized the fault repair information management system, which is based on B/S construction. It has passed the related tests. The system is user-friendly, simple, powerful, was a well to meet the current needs of the expert system. This system is user-friendly, operated simply, powerful.
