The paper analyses the actuality and problems of the wheels'repair of rolling stock at the present time in our country. We bring out the point that using both the electronic information technology and C/S structure in the product line of wheels' repair, and managing wheels' repair through advanced tools of control. It will accomplish the transformation from manual work to automatic control, and also realize the systems' information management.Wheels' repair is one of the most important works of the repair of rolling stock, it takes on important tasks of ensuring the train safely running with high speed, but now in most car depots, it has many problems such as dated control modes,data manual collection and poor management which can not meet the request of high efficient and safe production. So it has great practical meaning to study and design a project on the information realization of the wheels' repair line.The project adopts distributed system. The bottom control station is composed of repair data collection terminal/wheels counter, etc. which can accomplish data collection and process control. The middle operate station is composed of PC104 which can accomplish data communication, man-machine conversation and management of the whole wheels' repair line. The data-base server used in wheels' repair workshop is composed of a PC which can realize the information management of diversified data, printing report, etc. Characterized with flexible structure expanding and high reliability, the system contains excellent property in current use and engineer popularization.The system is being used in Xiangfan car depot. The function and capability of the system are accord with the locate request. The system not only works steadily and reliably, but also maintains easily.
