With the continuous development of science and technology, more and more signals have to be tested in variety of scientific research, as the most important test equipment, the oscilloscope's new applications are endless, so manufacturers must closely follow the development trend of new applications designed to meet the specific needs of the oscilloscope users and software applications. High-performance, portable and intelligent are the focus of research direction on digital storage oscilloscope, however, the three are often incompatible. The most high flexibility customize oscilloscope now is virtual device with platform of PC and complex programming development environment, which increases the development costs for ordinary users and brings more unconvenient for moving.Intelligent digital oscilloscope based on embedded platform shows measurement functions and technical characteristics of both the digital storage oscilloscope and the digital multimeter, with small size, light weight and low power consumption, and meets the test applications requirements indoor and outdoor. The friendly development environment can meet the individual needs of specific users and the low cost can make the system as a development kit for electronics training and teaching.Embedded Digital Oscilloscope is a recently developed real-time display of data and waveform intelligent terminals. Now more, generic digital oscilloscope use DSP, embedded microprocessor-based FPGA or DSP + FPGA structure. The design of portable digital storage oscilloscope in this paper with MCU + FPGA structures to Altera's low-end low-cost Cyclone FPGA for signal acquisition, processing main unit 51 as the control, HMI control unit, is a feature complete, excellent performance, low-cost design that can be used as a stand-alone module using embedded smart terminals.This article also describes the design of random sampling and FFT transform module design. By time-sampling, can be high frequency, fast signal into low frequency, slow to repeat the signal, thereby collecting 200MHz high-speed periodic signals. Through the FFT transform, the spectrum of measured signal can be analyzed. Through the testing result, this FPGA-based customizable digital storage oscilloscope has a good performance with high accuracy, low power consumption, stable and reliable.
