Study On The Decorative Art Of Woodcarving Doors And Windows In Huizhou Traditional Dwellings

As a unique part of Chinese traditional architectural culture,the status of Huizhou traditional architectural cultural is irreplaceable.Since ancient times,Huizhou traditional residential carved wooden doors and windows as the carriers of Huizhou traditional culture,have always reflected the close relationship between Huizhou traditional culture and the residential concept,thus to a certain extent representing the brilliant artistic attainments and the abundant connotation of the creation philosophy of Huizhou people.This paper expounded Huizhou traditional carved wooden doors and windows,and did necessary researches on the birth,evolution and decorative features,which included the analysis and researches on the cultural background,decorative features,light use,style characteristics,and cultural connotation of the emergence and development of the carved wooden doors and windows.It also discussed the practical significance of Huizhou traditional architectural decoration art and its enlightenment to the modern architecture in Huizhou and even the whole country.The main work of this paper was as follows:1.Explained the functions and requirements of the carved wooden door and window decoration in Huizhou culture,analyzed the research status of carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture and proposed the research content and methods of this paper based on the research status.2.Provided a summary of the traditional carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture,including the origin and development of Huizhou traditional architecture,the characteristics of early Huizhou windows and doors decoration,the decorative features of Huizhou doors and windows in Ming Dynasty,the decorative features of Huizhou doors and windows in the Qing Dynasty and the decorative features of modern Huizhou doors and windows,and finally systematically summarized the tools and techniques of Huizhou woodcarving.3.Carried out researches on the cultural background of Huizhou traditional carved wooden door and window decoration,including the research on the cultural fusion of the North and South,the research on the influence of natural factors,the research on Confucian culture and the research on the opportunities of the rise of Huizhou merchants.4.Conducted researches on the decorative arts of carved wooden doors and windows in Huizhou traditional architecture,including the research on the types and characteristics of carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture,the research on the creation techniques of carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture,the research on the artistic features of carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture,the research on the aesthetic taste of carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture and the research on the art of dermatoglyphic pattern of carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture.5.Elaborated the inspiration for the cultural renaissance of carved wooden doors and windows of Huizhou traditional architecture,mainly including the practical significance of inheriting the decorative arts of Huizhou traditional architecture,the problems and opportunities faced by carrying on the decorative arts of Huizhou traditional architecture,and several principles that needed to be noted when inheriting Huizhou traditional architectural culture,and finally initially discussed the application and development direction of carved wooden doors and windows in modern design combined with cases,hoping to provide some reference for the current Chinese academia and design community.
