As a long story area in china,the Huizhou people are deeply influenced by Confucianism and the philosophical system of Cheng-Chu.In addition,the unique clan settlements in Huizhou and the cultural characteristics of merchant and Confucianism have formed the unique characteristics of Huizhou residential construction.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the economy of Huizhou was prosperous and Huizhou merchants were good at Confucianism.Many Huizhou merchants spared no expense to build up their homes and education in the hometown.At the same time,there were a lot of historical Huizhou sites and as an opportunity to form Huizhou's own economy and the cultural system.The culture of the wooden doors and windows of Huizhou residential buildings is developed on this basis.Due to the unique geographical environment,there are six counties of Huizhou County still retain a large number of exquisite residential buildings built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The wooden craftsmanship of the craftsmen of Huizhou,the aesthetic taste of the literati who belonged to the hometown and the abundant funds of Huizhou merchants all left their mark on the doors and windows of Huizhou residential houses and also reflected the cultural features and social conditions of Huizhou.Because the doors and windows of Huizhou residential buildings have unique regional characteristics and rich cultural connotations,it has certain research value to deeply study the traditional Chinese houses and windows in Huizhou.This paper makes a comprehensive study of wooden doors and windows of traditional folk houses in Huizhou area by summarizing and analyzing the research results of doors and windows of ancient Chinese traditional architecture.Firstly,the traditional wooden doors and windows in Huizhou are classified and sorted out through case study and in-depth comparative analysis,and the shape characteristics of different types of doors and windowsare summarized.Secondly,according to actual investigation cases,artisans' interviews and measurement data,the components of traditional wooden doors and windows in Huizhou are analyzed,and the composition elements and detailed structural characteristics of wooden doors and windows are summarized and analyzed.Through visiting the construction site of Huizhou folk houses and the wood doors and windows factories,we can have a thorough understanding of the wood doors and windows manufacturing technology and unique lacquer painting skills of Huizhou traditional folk houses.Then,we focus on the analysis of the decorative content and pattern categories of Huizhou traditional folk houses' wood doors and windows,in order to reveal the unique regional decorative characteristics of Huizhou traditional folk houses' wood doors and windows and the aesthetic characteristics of Huizhou people.This paper analyses the functional setting characteristics of wooden doors and windows in Huizhou traditional dwellings,and summarizes the functional setting modes,combination characteristics and proportion scale of wooden doors and windows.In summary,this paper is aiming at the development of the traditional residential buildings in Huizhou area,the expression of the structure,the production process,the decorative features and cultural connotations which based on literature review,rural multi-site survey,physical mapping and artisan inquiry.In order to the repair and protection of wooden doors and windows of traditional residential buildings in Huizhou area and the application of modern buildings provide a certain reference,so the research on the doors and windows of Huizhou residential buildings is needed develop in the depth direction.
