Automotive power steering gear is one of the key components of automobile, its quality has an important impact to automotive steering. Performance test must be carried out to the new produced automotive power steering gear after assembly. They must pass the test before they leave the factory. The hydraulic oil within the power steering gear must be discharged before leaving the factory, or it will cause inconvenience to vehicle installations,and to some extent economic waste and so on.Therefore, manufacturers need for a power steering gear oil-absorbing device,it can sucked out completely and high-speed the hydraulic oil inside the automotive power steering gear.At present,a kind of power steering gear pumping oil machine has been developed, but it can not clean the hydraulic oil used in the experiment in the power steering gear, there will be a little of hydraulic oil in the power steering gear. To address this issue, the numerical simulation and visualization research of the field flow of automotive power steering gear has been done.It brought out the supposition of the model and established the mathematical model and numerical simulatiom model of CFD of the flow channel.It laid a theoretical foundation for the later analysis of the flow field of the automotive power steering gear. The flow channel of power steering gear has been carried out geometric modeling and meshing, and the flow field is computed by the software of Fluent,then the pressure distribution, velocity distribution of the field flow can be obtained.Based on the simulation results, accordingly analyse the reason why the hydraulic oil in the automotive power steering gear can not be cleaned. Through the numerical simulation and visualization research to the field flow of automotive power steering gear,analyse the reason why the hydraulic oil in the automotive power steering gear can not be cleaned. By the comparative analysis of several sets of data,we come to the conclusion that the parameters used finally in the pumping oil machine is the best.This provides a theoretical basis to further improve and optimize pumping oil machine.The work provides a theoretical basis for researching and designing this type of flow channel structure of vehicle power steering.While it has a certain reference value for the structural optimization of its flow channel.
