Generally, we need to break certain shield lining segments to build up the station structure when constructing the metro station by shield tunneling method. While the shield segment hold the whole stress and have waterproof function originally, if break, the segment stress system will be broken. How to link the rest shield segment to the main station structure will affect the stability of the whole structure.The biggest difference between fabricated lining and integral lining of shield tunneling is:the joint of fabricated lining will be the weak point of affecting the overall load and waterproof of lining ring. The following construction must be achieved to open some of segment assembly connection. So, if we design the joint of segment and following structure, we must study in depth the various mechanical properties of the joint.Based on the research of the shield excavation method, we will stimulate the mechanical properties of this lining-structure special joint by ANSYS and compare to the model test on site. During the analysis, we consider two main factors:the various types and parameters of the segment joint. We will focus on the effect of different structural parameters to the mechanical properties of the joint. The joint between lining and structure of the station is checked by the 1:1 scale joint model test.
