The process route optimization is an important means that ensures technical requirements, improves labor productivity and decreases manufacturing costs. After the way of manufacturing and operation contents are defined, the diversity of process route mainly embodies in the variability of datum and cutting sequence. The traditional routing optimizing method to datum and cutting sequence is researched less, and it is a lack that the datum and possessing sequence is optimized though an effective and vividly method. Process size route map is the better way to solve with the problem.In the stage of processing parts, Two factors that affect the design size precision and allowance precision of parts can be summarized: one is the process route that forms in the process of Manufacture; the other is the relevant dimension accuracy in the path. The forming path of target size depends on the choice of datum and the arrangement of the processing sequence, these problems can be abstracted as craft size path chart. the datum and cutting sequence are researched through the process size route map in this thesis, Firstly, the methods of building craft size route map and application are introduced to express intuitionally the forming path of each target size, by analyzing the size route map, all the datum and processing sequences can be described, the process is bad or good that can be judged, the process size route map can be optimized, and be reductive into more reasonable processing line.From the size route map, the whole size model can be obtained, and can generate automatically the corresponding phase of the relevant dimensions and tolerance in the drive of all the design dimensions and allowance, thus forming a set of "size path optimization and dimension tolerance calculation", as one of the design method.
