The vibration of engine is the major source of vehicle's vibration. It's the key problem in the design of vehicle that how to isolate the vibration transmission from engine to vehicle frame and body. And the engine mounting is the key components to solve this problem. The engine mounting system which is reasonable matched takes an important part into reduce the vibration and improve life of vehicle. On the basis of extensive literature of domestic and abroad, this paper have researched the vibration isolation performance of engine mounting system of heavy duty electric wheel dump truck which manufactured by the factory with the combination of theoretical and experimental methods. The specific work was carried out as follows:1,The design method was proposed for the engine power train's vibration isolation and mounting system of heavy duty electric wheel dump truck through the mechanical analysis of engine's vibration isolation system.2,The centre of mass, moment of inertia and natural frequency of the engine power train were calculated, the static and dynamic characteristic of rubber suspension was tested, and the vibration isolation system was designed, the theoretical effect of vibration isolation had been calculated.3,The simulation model of engine vibration isolation system was built in ADMAS, the basic parameters was further defined after comparing the results of simulation and theory.4,The vibration of engine was measured and the actual effect of vibration isolation was gained after dealing with the obtained signal, the correctness on the design of system was verified after comparing the results of simulation.The main innovative points of the dissertation are that the power-train vibration system of Heavy Electric Wheel Dump Truck was designed, and its finite element model was built for analysis, the actual test was carried out to verify the result of theory. The main factors which affect the performance of engine mounting system were found. These not only give a reference to more accurate simulation, but also provide a guideline for improving the vibration isolation of engine mounting system.
