For solving the difficulty in fault analysis of distributed equipment in process industry, based on multilevel flow model a new data acquisition monitor system is designed to realizing data collecting and fault locating with CAN bus as data transmission between data acquisition module and with local network as data transmission between module with remote PC.Multilevel flow models (MFM) is a kind of functional model which abstract the real process industry by mass flow, energy flow and information flow. It is simpler than other event-oriented models, its description to the system is more complete, and can significantly reduce the amount of computations. MFM has a significant advantage in the real-time fault diagnosis. The new data acquisition monitor system is designed to be used in collecting signals such as temperature, pressure and etc. In process industry which is composed of two single-chip microcomputer, one in charge of data acquisition and Ethernet communication, the other piece of single-chip microcomputer is primarily responsible for on-site fault locating diagnosis. The designed data acquisition monitoring system has a significant real-time advantage for distributed equipment fault diagnosis and has a strong ability in system expansion in process industry.
