Research On Urban Street Facility Design From The Perspective Of Public Art

The urban street facility is an important constituent of the environment. It can influence the city image and the qualities of people's daily life directly, also play an important role in shaping the image of the city and beautify the environment, as well as building up the livable life space. With the development of the economy, China is carried out a large-scale urban construction. The artistic design of the city street facilities need to be based on the urban construction, whose theory could also improve in practice. Meanwhile the effective design guideline will be explored and provided with the guidance for the design.This paper mainly researched the design of city street facilities from the perspective of public art, deeply analyzed the relationship and the development trend of urban street facilities public artistic design. The theoretical frame of urban street facilities with public artistic design is built up. The example of urban street artistic design in Jianshe Road in Xiangtan city was illustrated to expand its breadth and depth in a practical way. Then the concept, characteristics and the connection with the urban is analyzed. Finally the development tendency of urban streets facilities public artistic design was prospected.Chapterâ…¢focused on intensifying the cognition. The implantation of public artistic idea in the urban street facilities was put forward and the aesthetic value, identification value, culture value, behavior value and society value of urban street facilities were illustrated in detail.Chapterâ…£focused on the theory construction. The guideline and design criterion of public designed urban streets facilities were put forward by analyzing the design element of urban street facilities. The theoretical frame of urban street facilities was constructed.Chapter V focused on the case design, with the combination of the project of urban street artistic design in Jianshe Road in Xiangtan city. The design principles was put forward with the Lotus Culture in Xiangtan and practical design was attempted.It is expected that from this study urban street facilities design could be explored more in a theoretical way and can provide some guideline and reference.
