The city centre in the western world has declined dramatically in the recent years due to the suburbanizing phenomenon. Large amount of policies have been proposed to address the issue in order to resuscitate the centre hub. Thanks to the rapid urbanization, the city centre in China has changed greatly, and the accessibility has really declined which has affected the energy and development vitality. So it is crucial to enhance the accessibility of the city centre so that sustainable development can be achieved.The paper chooses the city centre as study object which ranges from CBD to sub-centre etc. It firstly put forward an overview targeted on the concept, composition, classification and the feature of accessibility and the city centre,and defines the specific category.Secondly,we introduce relevant theories and practices in the domain on the basis of the relevant theory. Secondly the paper deduces and analyses certain factors which influence the accessibility inside the area. Based on the studies, the design principles and the strategies have been discussed in four distinguished aspects, these are Overall Layout, Land Use, Compound Transportation Plan and Public Space. Finally the essay makes good practice with the strategies , with an example of urban design in the Lu Xiang sub-centre area in Wuhan.Through the study of the Interior Accessibility Strategies in Centre City study, the purpose of the essay is to analyze certain critical factors which have remarkable influence over the area. It also hopes to explore certain specific measurements to boost the accessibility of areas alike through which sustainability development can be maintained. Hopefully it provides a useful modle as how to develop a harmonious society.
