This paper summarizes the status and developing direction and the important action on the modem industry of material handling, Analyzed the status of overhead traveling crane in our country. Because internal box-maingirder overhead traveling cranes s main girder is too weight and need too material, this paper presents a improving method to web of main girder.On basis of the producing fact of Kiu Ming Heavy Machine Ltd, the author get much fact material through inner research, and presents a imagine of new corrugated-web structure of overhead traveling crane. Through enough compare and argumentation, this paper presents using sine curve as corrugated sheet of web. The author use large-scale finite element software ANSYS as analyzing tool, use finite element method to comprehensively analyze the oldslabbing-web main girder and the new-corrugated-web main girder. Through the analyzing, Know the equivalent stress of new web is reduce 57% than old web. Then with advanced application of AINSYS, author proceeded optimal design to corrugated sheet of web and get the optimal solution of corrugated sheet. Using this new web, the material and stiffening plate of web may reduce too much to reduce the main girder weight of overhead traveling crane and reduce the produced cost.This paper is mainly to do some attempt and exploring to modern design method of crane. It is a creative thought that use corrugated web instead slabbing web, so there is some unaccomplished question. Meantime the paper mainly research the theoretical method, it need more experiment ,analyze and research to make the thought realize. But the new thought this paper presents and the new study method this paper used must edify and prompt to explore and use modern design method of our crane craft...
