The penomenon of vehicle being over-load is commonplace in China, which is the main reason of initial damage of pavement and affects the normal usage of pavement. In order to comprehend the mechanical behavior under heavy load further and build reliable design base of heavy-load pavement, the stresss working range of semi-rigid material is analyzed systematically and the working area of stress is suggested. The paper also analyzes non-liner behavior of pavement material deeply, and suggests the stress-dependency model of module. Stress-strain curve is analyzed by the stress-strain experiments of semi-rigid material. According to the working area of streaa-strain under heavy load, the choice of back part of the curve is proposed to calculate the module value of material. With loading plate experiments, the rebound deformation of subgrade is suggested controlling under 0.6mm under heavy load and the module value is advised caculating by regression analysis. Based on the stress- strain analysis of surface, the recommendatory model value of Spec qication for design of highway asphalt pavement is advised keeping. To heavy-load rigid pavement, it mainly researched the module augment coefficient. Original formulae are analyzed and corrected.
