High grade highway in China, the vast majority for the semi-rigid base pavement structure, semi-rigid base mainly bear passed down to the vehicle load and the load can be distributed to the bearing layer, the intensity of semi-rigid base high, may be appropriate to reduce the thickness of the surface layer. The strength of semi-rigid base material increases with the increase of age, and it can adapt to the development of heavy load traffic.In view of this problem, this paper has carried out a lot of research on the shear test method, shear strength and the influence factors of the composite pavement. On the basis of existing research results for reference, combined characteristics of the project, research group by laboratory shear tests of different adhesive materials, simulates the actual pavement interlayer shearing action,the analysis of the interlayer interfacial shear failure process and the effect of the interlayer shear strength factors, the effects of different interlayer bonding material shear strength of variation.Analysis results show that:(1) with the increase of shear rate, the shear strength, shear modulus and shear deformation of the composite pavement are increased.(2) with the increase of normal stress, the shear strength of the layers of the three kinds of bonding materials increased. This is mainly due to the increase of normal pressure and the friction resistance between layers.(3) the effect of temperature on shear strength of composite pavement is remarkable, and the shear strength and shear modulus decrease with the increase of temperature. High temperature stability of interlayer bonding materials is one of the key indexes for the selection of bonding materials.(4) composite pavement interlayer shear failure can be divided into three main stages; shear failure,the residual adhesive force decreases,interlaminar shear stress value gradually reaches a steady state, this residual shear strength is mainly interface friction.
