Recently the natural gas industry in China develops quickly, and the competition of gas industry becomes more and more intense. As the biggest gas company in northwest of China—— XI'AN Natural Gas Company, it is very necessary, such as using high-technology and information technology to improve management, macro re-engineering management of gas network and increasing market competitive power. Based on that, though analyzing the present production and management system, a new project, which re-engineering management of gas network of, was put forward.Firstly, the present XI'AN Natural Gas distribution network management system and situation of the network construct were introduced and evaluated. In addition, the GIS, its basic and applied software, its application in management of city gas distribution network,its main functions were introduced briefly.Secondly, the problems, which exist in the network planning and designing, directing production, policy-making at emergency, were founded. In order to solve these problems, a conception for XI'AN GAS GIS system was presented, and the structure and main functions of this system were described, and the optimal methods of network planning and designing, directing production, police-making at emergency were discussed in detail.At last, the economic efficiency of this system was analyzed. The role of applying gas GIS system, such as increasing management efficiency, enduring safe production, reducing resource waste, raising capital utilization ratio were discussed.Application of GIS technology to gas network management will increase the efficiency of gas network management, realize scientific and systematic management, reduce costs, improve service standard, in a word, it could improve market competition power of XI'AN Natural Gas Company. |
