Automobile Steering Control System Test

Steering gear is the most important component of the automotive veering system. In order to verify its function and quality, the steering gear has to be tested on the steering gear test bed.In this paper, according to the auto-industry criterion in china (QC/T 29097-92), the steering gear test-bed' s control system, which was based upon the production of ADVANTECH, was developed after analyzing parameters and performance of the steering gear.This paper mainly involves:The steering gear' s factual testing request was discussed and a blue print of the steering gear' s test-bed was put the steering gear' s performances and parameters.A data acquisition and movement control system has been successfully designed, including industrial computer, ADVANTECH module, sensor and so on, after introducing every signal disposal section' s principium and peculiarities in this control system.The software was accomplished by employing Visual C++ on Windows NT operation system.Experiments have been done with the designed control system.The developed steering gear test-bed' s control system has been applied into real production, which is effective in all kind of performance test.
