Aseismatic reconstruction of building area in cities for earthquake hazard mitigation is a complicated problem and a real challenge confronted with people. Computer aided deGISion-making system based on distributed GIS technology is a new solution for this kind of problems. This paper mainly discusses how to design and create such kind of computer aided deGISion-making system.After referring to relative literatures, investigating analysis models of earthquake hazard and doing roundly research of distributed GIS application, the paper designs a kind of computer aided deGISion-making system for aseismatic reconstruction of building area in cities based on distributed GIS technology. There are several innovations and new viewpoints in the paper listed as follows:It brings forward a set of analysis models of earthquake hazard which used for deGISion-making of aseismatic reconstruction of building area, and also provides the analysis flow chart. Furthermore, it summarizes the infection factors of building area of aseismatic reconstruction in cities.It finds out the method of merging and analyzing, partly quantitative analyzing, all these models and infection factors for deGISion-making based on GIS technology.It applies multianalysis methods to create deGISion-making model suiting forinthis kind of work through studying model of aseismatic reconstruction of building area deGISion-making based on GIS technology.It deeply studies the problem of distributed GIS applying in aseismatic and earthquake hazard mitigation field, which mainly includes the problem of distributed data management, the problems of embedding data analysis and deGISion-making aided models into GIS platform, the problem of cooperation among different departments, and the problem of sharing and publishing information of analysis goals.Totally, this paper provides solutions for data management, deGISion-making analysis, information sharing in the proceeding of building area aseismatic reconstruction in cities. It also provides quite a few methods and fundamental technologies for the further study of this field.
