Desktop Rp System Technology Research And Planning Based On Database Technology

Rapid Prototyping Manufacturing (RPM/RP) is a new technology including many high-teches such as CAD, CAM, CNC, laser and material science, and a key technology of manufacturing in the 21th century. The requirements of process planning become higher because of the development of RP technology. In order to improve the efficiency of process planning, this paper focuses on the study of process planning of Desktop Rapid Prototyping System, and develops the system of the RP's process planning based on database.In this paper, the necessity of RP-CAPP and information management is deeply discussed, the traditional CAPP and RP-CAPP are compared, and the development orientation of RP's process planning is researched. Based on the idea of the process planning, the RP's process forming ability is studied, and the scan method of solid forming is researched, and the triangle scan is experimented, and the RP's forming process parameters are confirmed, and the process method for improving the precision of parts is summarized as well. The important position of process planning in the RP technology is pointed out in this paper.The RP's process planning system based on RP database is designed. The scientific and standard parameter management for RP system information is implemented. The process planning technology of RP system based on database is studied which includes STL model library management, computer aided choice of forming equipment and forming process, and the comprehensive automatic process planning technology.
