To prepare high performance solid propellants, superfine particles are often appeared in the components of propellants. It is the fist thing to make particles to mix with HTPB equally by the mixer. Many superfine particles with various particle diameters, varieties, content and surface coated had been employed to study the influence on viscosity and dispersion of the slurry. The results indicate that, the viscosity of the slurry is increased and the dispersion of the slurry is decreased along with the superfine particle diameter decreasing; the viscosity and dispersion of the slurry are obviously influenced by the variety of particles; the viscosity of the slurry is increased and the dispersion of the slurry is decreased along with the superfine particle content in the slurry decreasing. The viscosity and dispersion of the slurry are remarkably improved after particle surface coating properly.On the other hand, the dispersion of the slurry, in the process of mixing, is showed actually by haring the sample by UV in the short time.
