Highway Design Factors Impact On Traffic Safety Research

As many of traffic accidents are associated with the defect in highway designing, the author, by using the investigated materials of the traffic accidents in Neimenggu, studies the influence of route line, subgrade, pavement, structure and traffic safety installations to traffic safety from the combination of theory and reality. Many factors can bring traffic accidents including man and vehicles, so the paper carries out a rough study on their influence on traffic safety from the aspect of highway designing. Combined with the particular environmental conditions in Neimenggu, the paper also discusses the influence of winter and overweight vehicles on traffic safety. The last part of the content in the paper is "Traffic Accidents Analysis System" developed with Delphi, in order to give readers a convenient way to analyze these factors that can bring accidents. The author hopes this paper can help to advance the highway designing method from the aspect of traffic safety, at the same time be used as reference to the technical and administering workers of civil engineering.
