Image intensifiers are kernel parts of LLL night vision system. The performance of LLL night vision system lies on the parameters of image intensifiers. So, the research on measurement of parameters of image intensifiers is of great importance. In this dissertation, the attention is focused on the measurement technology about the parameters of the image intensifier. The content in this dissertation is summarized as following:In the first chapter, the development and application of photoelectric image and LLL night vision are reviewed. The intention and signification are expatiated.In the second chapter, the principle, characteristics, types and parameters of LLL image intensifier are introduced. The measurement principle and methods about parameters are also emphasized.In the third chapter, the luminance gain and equivalent background input (EBI) testset for LLL image intensifiers is developed. The general structure, optical system, mechanical structure, signal processing module, computer and measurement software of testset are designed. The testset is used to measure the luminance gain and EBI of image intensifiers. The results are given and analyzed.In the fourth chapter, the improvement of measurement technology on resolution is discussed. An experimental testset which is used to study the measurement of resolution is constructed. Base on this system, the resolution is experimentally measured by digital image processing. The results are given and analyzed.The last chapter summarizes the whole dissertation, and pointes out the problems in the research that should be improved.
